Youth Minister, UNICEF Jordan Representative Discuss Cooperation

AMMAN - Youth Minister Mohammad Nabulsi on Monday met with UNICEF Representative in Jordan Philippe Duamelle to discuss bolstering cooperation, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Nabulsi highlighted Jordan's strategic partnership with UNICEF, adding that Jordan's joint programmes and projects with the fund contributed to developing youth skills and providing incubators for youth creativity and innovation in various governorates of the Kingdom.

He referred to the ministry's plan to activate youth centres, develop their programmes, and create supportive spaces for youth, voicing keenness in increasing youth participation in political and economic aspects and promoting the culture of volunteering.

Nabulsi extended appreciation to the role played by UNICEF in supporting the national platform for youth volunteering (Nahno).

For his part, Duamelle lauded the Jordanian youth's experience and the ministry's efforts to empower youth, enhance their participation in public life, and involve them in the decision-making process and enhance their role in climate action.

Duamelle also expressed aspiration to strengthen joint youth programmes in 2023.
