CMU-Q Celebrates First Students Of Class Of 2027

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The first students of the Class of 2027 received a warm welcome at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q), a Qatar Foundation (QF) partner university.
The 31 students were admitted to the CMU-Q through the Early Decision round of admission.
The students represent 18 schools and 10 nations, and more than half are Qatari nationals.
CMU-Q dean Michael Trick encouraged the new students to seize the many opportunities that will come their way during their undergraduate years.
“A university education is about more than academics: it is a time for you to develop your skills and passions,” he said.“Over the next four years, you are on a path of self-discovery. Try new things, learn new skills, and discover how you can change your world.”
The CMU-Q Early Decision application deadline is three months before the regular deadline of February 1.
Students who have attended a CMU-Q outreach programme are invited to apply for Early Decision if the CMU-Q is their first choice in universities.
Successful students are offered acceptance packages before the winter break.
The CMU-Q will continue to accept applications until the regular admission deadline of February 1.
Students can apply for top-ranked undergraduate programmes in biological sciences, business administration, and computer science and information systems for studies beginning in August.
