Birla Public School Celebrates 74Th Republic Day Of India

Doha: As India celebrated its 74th Republic Day on January 26, the country reflected on its progress and achievements over the past year.

The day marks the adoption of the Indian Constitution in 1950 and is a national holiday celebrated with great fanfare across the country.

Birla Public School (BPS), Doha-Qatar organised a programme to celebrate 74th Republic Day of India in its main campus. It began at 8am with the flag hoisting ceremony and rendition of the Indian National Anthem.

Jasim, commissioner of scouts and guides association, Yacob and Ahmed, Head of Scouts activities and Mona Al Masouri, experts of scouts and guides association Doha were the Chief Guests for the event. Paramjeet Kaur Bhullar, who initiated Scouts and Guides in the school, was also a Guest of Honour. Sharing her happiness Mona congratulated the school on its celebrations and appreciated the continued contributions of BPS in the field of education.

Harish Sanduja, Academic Director-Principal of school spoke of the significance of the Republic Day in his welcome speech. The students showcased their talents and paid tribute to the rich culture and history of India through a variety of performances, including speeches, patriotic dance and song.

The programme concluded with the vote of thanks, jointly delivered by MCs, Aalia Khan and Husna Raihana.
