Iran’s aluminum ingot production rises 19 percent in 9 months annually


(MENAFN) Output of aluminum ingot in Iran surged by 19 percent in the opening nine months of the ongoing Iranian calendar year (March 21-Decemebr 21, 2022), in comparison with the same span of time in the last year.

According to reports, the output of aluminum ingot reached an amount of 474,601 tons in the nine-month time span of this year, whereas the number stood at 398,610 tons in the same period of the last year.

Between the nations four main manufacturers, South Aluminum Corporation (SALCO) had the highest numbers in the opening nine months of the current year, outputting 203,231 tons of aluminum ingots, shadowed by Iranian Aluminum Company (IRALCO) outputting 132,394 tons, Almahdi Aluminum Company outputting 11,479 tons, as well as Iran Alumina Company outputting 27,497 tons of the product.

As shown by the figures earlier issued by Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), output of aluminum ingot in Iran surged 20 percent throughout the last Iranian calendar year 1400 (closed on March 20, 2022), in comparison with its prior year.
