The construction phase of the new Children's Hospital on the site of the former US
embassy on Avenida Balboa is 14 %
advanced and scheduled for completion in December 2024 when the maintenance program will begin and last another three years.
The hospital center will have 20 floors, with a capacity of 476 beds, and specialties such as radiology, hematology, outpatient area, operating rooms emergency area, blood bank, and laboratory.
It will have a cafeteria, large parking lots, and gardens to provide peace and tranquility for patients and their companions.
The current $443.8 million construction is being developed by Acciona Construcción SA, and will benefit more than one million children throughout the country says the Ministry of Health (Minsa).
