Iranian Parliament Speaker meets IRGC headquarters

(MENAFN) Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf went to the top headquarters of the Islamic revolution Guards Corps in the early hours of Saturday morning and assembled with IRGC chief commander General Hossein Salami.

In the conference, Qalibaf responded to the European Parliament’s latest resolution on Iran which called for describing the IRGC as a terrorist group. The resolution was accepted with an overwhelming majority and urged the European Council to describe the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps as a terrorist group.

“They [MEPs] also call on the Council and the member states to add the IRGC and its subsidiary forces, including the paramilitary Basij militia and the Quds Force, to the EU terrorist list. Any country in which the IRGC deploys military, economic, or informational operations should sever and outlaw ties with this agency,” the European Parliament announced in a press release after the approval of the Resolution.
