NEW YORK - DataBank, which operates more than 65 data centers across the US, has handed its US PR business to SourceCode Communications.
SourceCode was named the Dallas-based data management company's communications agency of record following a competitive three-agency pitch.
SourceCode is charged with driving awareness of DataBank and the importance of data centers among new audiences. Communications programs will include brand-building initiatives and marketing efforts targeting potential customers.
“As DataBank continues to grow with the demand for edge computing accelerated by the pandemic and 5G boom, we turned to SourceCode to uplevel our communications strategy across the US,” said Judith McGill, the company's senior director of strategic marketing.“We're excited to work with the SourceCode team whose expertise in enterprise B2B communications will be invaluable in diversifying our storytelling and reaching our goals.”
Launched with a single Dallas data center in 2005, DataBank today operates more than 65 data centers in 27 markets across the US. Acquisitions of
“zColo” (the data centers of Zayo Networks) and four Houston-area data centers from CyrusOne since that time have fueled the company's growth and expanded capabilities in managed services, cloud, security, and compliance.
