Gorditas Chronicles is an American comedy series which tells the story of Cucu Castelli, a reporter recalling her youth in the 1980s as a wilful, reluctant 'gordita' (chubby girl) whose family immigrates to Miami, Florida from the Dominican Republic. One of the best shows of 2022, the series highlights issues that people of colour encounter daily. The series was created by Claudia Forestieri. The Flight Attendant stars Kaley Cuoco in the title role as flight attendant Cassie Bowden. This dark American comedy/drama mystery thriller was developed by Steve Yockey.
Cassie is a reckless alcoholic who one day wakes up in a Bangkok hotel room, with no memory of how she landed with the dead body of a passenger from her previous day's flight. From then on, the series weaves from panic, to drama, and secrecy, as no one is who they seem to be.
Vicky McClure stars as Stella, a cabby grieving for her teenage daughter Maisy, who was murdered several years earlier in the Without Sin series. The drama explores the relationship she develops with the man she believes murdered her daughter. Filmed in and around Nottingham in the UK the series has an authentic feel and is definitely a contender for a 2023 must-see show.
Pretty Little Liars – Original Sin is the fourth in this TV series franchise featuring a banging cast, led by Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Zaria, Malia Pyles, and Maia Reficco. Follow the lives of a group of teenage girls living in Millwood, Pennsylvania, who receive terrifying and cryptic messages from 'A' – a mysterious assailant who holds them responsible for a tragic action of their mothers that resulted in a classmate's death 22 years earlier. The girls are team up to figure out what happened during 1999 and what roles their mothers played in the tragedy.
