Nine Ships Leave Odesa Region's Ports With Agricultural Products For Africa, Asia And Europe


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Nine more vessels loaded with 390,000 tonnes of agricultural products for African, Asian and European countries have left the Odesa region's ports as part of the 'grain initiative'.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry on facebook , an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Over two days, nine vessels loaded with 390,000 tonnes of agricultural products for Africa, Asia and Europe have left the Odesa region's ports. Among them, there are the bulk carriers, ALANDA STAR and SSI PRIVILEGE, carrying 68,000 tonnes of wheat for Egypt and Indonesia, as well as the tanker EUROCHAMPION loaded with 45,000 tonnes of vegetable oil for India,” the report states.

Twenty-two vessels are now being loaded with more than 860,000 tonnes of agricultural products at the Odesa region's ports. Three more ships are now sailing via the 'grain corridor' to be loaded with 93,000 tonnes of agricultural products.

According to the ministry, ninety-five vessels are waiting in line for inspection procedures in the Bosphorus Strait.

A reminder that a total of 594 vessels have left the Odesa region's ports since August 1, 2022. They exported 15.5 million tonnes of Ukrainian-produced agricultural products to Asia, Africa and Europe.
