Pakistan, Tajikistan Discuss Bilateral Relations


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISLAMABAD, Dec 14 (KUNA) -- Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif met with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon in Islamabad on Wednesday to discuss the friendly relations, and bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
The one on one meeting will be followed by delegation-level talks, according to a statement by the PM House.
Earlier in the day, Tajikistan's President Emomali Rahmon arrived in Islamabad on a two-day official visit to Pakistan.
During the visit, the two sides will exchange views on further strengthening bilateral cooperation in a wide range of areas.
According to the Pakistan Foreign Office, a number of bilateral agreements and MoUs will be signed for promotion of cooperation in diverse fields.
The Tajik President's visit to Pakistan is expected to impart a renewed impetus to deepening cooperation between the two countries in diverse fields and further strengthen the growing geo-economic partnership, said Foreign Office. (end)
