Iran hosts discussions with France to talk about Violence, terror

(MENAFN) Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian hosted discussions with his French and Bulgarian fellows through the phone on Tuesday. He also hosted a conference with the chief of the Iran-Armenia parliamentary friendship group on the same day.

Throughout the call with his French equivalent, Catherine Colonna, Amir Abdollahian released a cautioning that Tehran is going to react if the European Union (EU) takes any limiting action versus the Islamic Republic because of present unrest in the nation.

Posting on his Twitter account, the senior Iranian diplomat also stated that he and Colonna agreed that "violence and terror should be confronted" as well as that "mutual respect and benefit override relations."

“I objected to Europe's interference in our internal affairs,” he mentioned, “stressing that Iran will reciprocate if EU restrictive measures applied,” Amir Abdollahian wrote.

As mentioned in report issued on its website the Iranian Foreign Ministry also stated that Amir Abdollahian had informed the French foreign minister that Iran is not going to permit regional or foreign parties “to target the national security of the country.”
