Pebbles, world's oldest dog, died at age of 22

(MENAFN) According to Guinness World Records, the world's oldest dog, Pebbles, died peacefully earlier this week, only five months before his 23rd birthday. Pebbles, a Toy Fox Terrier, died in the company of loved ones in Taylors, South Carolina.

Born on March 28, 2000, in Long Island, New York, Pebbles became a pet to Bobby and Julie Gregory. Upon Pebbles' demise, Julie Gregory claimed, “Pebbles lived a happy and long life. It was the queen of the household. Together with its late mate Rocky, who passed away in 2017 at the age of 16, Pebbles gave birth to 32 puppies throughout three distinct litters.”

"She spent her days enjoying country music and being loved," Julie Gregory further stated.

The fact that he was the world's oldest dog was discovered in an unusual manner. When Julie Gregory's friends heard on the news about a dog named TobbyKeith, who was then the oldest, they promptly phoned the Gregorys to inform them.
