(MENAFN- KNN India) South Gujarat Chamber hosts MSME and Banking Conclave in Surat

Surat, Sept 23 (KNN) South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) organised a full day 'MSME and Banking Conclave' in Surat on Thursday to spread awareness about MSME schemes and financial support facilities.

Out of 65 lakh MSMEs operating in the country more than 4 lakh MSMEs are functioning in Gujarat.



Speaking on the occasion, Himanshu Bodawala, President of SGCCI emphasised on the emergence of MSME sector as a vibrant sector in the last five years.

“It not only provides employment opportunities but can further develop the industry with low capital cost. MSMEs are also helpful in setting up industries in rural and backward areas,” added Bodawala.

The objective of the conclave was to provide information about various MSME incentives and subsidies of Central and State Government and special loans from various banks to industrialists, traders and entrepreneurs of South Gujarat including Surat from one platform.

At the end of the session, MSME officers and bank officials gave satisfactory answers to various queries of the entrepreneurs.
