Turkey’s daily energy usage drops by 1.1 percent on Sept. 7


(MENAFN) Based on the official data released by the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday, daily energy usage in Turkey declined by 1.1 percent on Wednesday in comparison to the prior day, standing at 952,057 megawatts per hours.

According to TEIAS figures, hourly power usage reached 45,112 megawatts per hours at 03.00 p.m. regional time (1200 GMT). At 07.00 a.m. regional time (0400 GMT), the nation’s electricity consumption decreased to the lowest point of 32,022 megawatts per hours.

On Wednesday, there were 940,637 megawatts per hours of electricity produced, a 1.3 percent reduction from Tuesday.

Natural gas power factories comprised by 21.4 percent of the entire amount of energy produced, with imported coal power factories and wind power factories constituted by 20.1 percent and 18 percent, correspondingly.

The nation's electrical exports on Wednesday were 7,345 megawatts per hours, while its imports were 18,768 megawatts per hours.
