Turkey’s day-to-day power intake decreases 5.62 percent on Saturday


(MENAFN) Day to day electricity intake in Türkiye saw a decrease of 5.62 percent on Saturday in comparison with the prior day (Friday), amounting to 968,047 megawatt-hours, as shown by official numbers of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) issued on Sunday.

Hourly power intake reached its highest amount at 45,062 megawatt-hours as of 03.00 PM regional time (1200 GMT), in line with data from TEIAS.

The nation’s electricity intake fell to the worst rate of 33.442 megawatt-hours as of 07.00 AM regional time (0400 GMT).

Electricity output reached a total of 958,851 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a decline of 5.72 percent in comparison to the previous day (Friday).

Electricity output from natural gas power plants contributed 32.9 percent of overall generation, whereas imported coal plants and hydroelectricity plants constituted 21.8 percent and 12.7 percent, individually.

On Saturday, the nation's electricity shipment totaled 13,733 megawatt-hours and imports amounted to 22,929 megawatt-hours.
