
EU-Ukraine Association Council Meeting Scheduled For Sept 5
The relevant statement was released on the website of the European Council, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“The 8th meeting of the EU-Ukraine Association Council will take place in Brussels on 5 September, starting at 12:15. The meeting will be chaired by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal. The High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell will lead the EU delegation,” the report states.
The EU-Ukraine Association Council will discuss the bilateral agenda, namely the implementation of the Association Agreement. The parties will also discuss EU support since the start of the Russian war of aggression and Ukraine's application for EU Membership.
During a restricted session, EU and Ukraine's representatives will exchange views on the situation following Russia's war of aggression, as well as global and regional issues.
