Turkey’s daily energy usage drops by 4.4 percent on July 30


(MENAFN) Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) data released on Sunday shows that daily electricity usage in Turkey declined by 4.4 percent on Saturday in comparison to the day before, reaching 1.01 million megawatts per hours.

According to TEIAS statistics, the peak hourly power usage was 47,018 megawatts per hours at 03:00 regional time (1200 GMT). At 7:00 a.m. regional time, the nation's power usage reached its lowest point of 34,470 megawatts per hours (0400 GMT).

One million megawatts per hours of electricity were produced on Saturday, a 4.5 percent reduction from Friday.

Natural gas power factories comprised by 25.9 percent of the entire amount of energy produced, whereas imported coal power factories and hydroelectricity factories constituted by 21.4 percent and 13.5 percent, correspondingly.

The nation's electrical exports on Saturday were 7,552 megawatts per hours, while its imports were 15,809 megawatts per hours.
