Napoli confirms Kim Min-jae transfer with USD18.3M fee from Fenerbahce

(MENAFN) Napoli strengthen their backline on Wednesday after completing the transfer of South Korean football player Kim Min-jae.

In a declaration, Napoli announced the transfer of Kim after discussing the deal with Fenerbahce and greeted him to the team.

In a video published on Twitter, the 25-year-old was witnessed inking the contract, sitting next to club president Aurelio De Laurentiis.

In the meantime, Fenerbahce showed on the Turkish Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) that they reached an agreement with Napoli for a €18.05 million (USD18.3 million) transfer price.

Napoli have reinforced their backline with Kim amid Senegalese center back Kalidou Koulibaly made his transfer to Chelsea this month.

On the 16th of July, Napoli sold Koulibaly to Chelsea as the 31-year-old signed a four-year agreement with the English Premier League club.

Kim made his transfer to Fenerbahce only 1 year ago from Chinese club Beijing Guoan. He got one goal under his name in 39 appearances for Fenerbahce, and piled up 40 international caps for South Korea as well.
