Doha: Reyada Medical Centre announced its soft launch yesterday, adding to a plethora of private medical service providers in Qatar. The state-of-the-art facility opened its doors to patients less than two weeks ago and is scheduled to have its grand launch in September.
Speaking at a press conference yesterday, Reyada Healthcare's Managing Director Jamsheer Hamza said that the facility will cater to all community segments with a vision of“Inspiring Better Health.”
“Reyada Medical Centre aims to empower the common man with world-class healthcare, ensuring that clinical and service excellence is within reach of everyone,” Hamza said.
“We are trying to keep our community healthy at affordable rates whereby people can avail medical check-ups regularly. For instance, we will launch five packages that will cater to lifestyle diseases. A package of QR149 will be launched where one can avail 63 tests.”
The facility, located on C-Ring Road, boasts adequate parking spaces. The facility is open from 7 AM to 12 AM, all days of the week.
According to Hamza, the facility has over 100 staff, including 24 highly qualified doctors and specialists, nurses, paramedics and others. Doctors and specialists include Dr Majunath (internal medicine); Dr Arvind Kumar Salian (Orthopedics); Dr Nijo Joseph (ENT); Dr Georgeen Ann Joseph (Paediatrics); Dr Manju Venugopal (ophthalmology); Dr Farah Naz (diagnostic imaging); Dr Krishna Prasad HV(laboratory medicine); Dr Waseem Abbas Qureshi, Dr Shukoor Karikulakkat and Dr Ederlina Tacla Pagaspas as general practitioners; Dr Reeba Mary Isaac (orthodontics) and Dr Parheen Akbar Shaikh (general and cosmetic dentistry).
The fully digitalised clinic is led by an expert team of highly experienced doctors and staff with ten departments, including Internal medicine, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Radiology, Laboratory Medicine, General medicine, Orthodontics and General Dentistry — another nine departments will be added soon. The newly-launched medical centre has state-of-the-art radio diagnostics and laboratory medicine facilities, a fully equipped pharmacy and opticals.
Hamza stressed that the dynamic mix of doctors and specialists from the most represented expat population in Qatar would enable convenient communication between patient and doctor.“Patients can communicate in English to their doctors, but they can express themselves better in their own languages.”
He said the facility is in its first phase with two more phases. Hamza disclosed that the facility would have an in-patient service in the future, especially for post-in-patient care.
Meanwhile, H E Sheikh Jassim bin Mohamed bin Hamad Al Thani, Chairman, Reyada Healthcare, in a statement, said,“Reyada Medical Centre, with its excellent team of doctors, medical and non-medical staff, is poised to become a valuable addition to the healthcare sector in Qatar.”
On the other hand, Dr Abdul Kalam, Executive Director & CMO of Reyada Healthcare, hailed“the historic moment for the future of quality healthcare.” He stated that this was just the beginning for the Reyada Healthcare group as more departments open for standard service.
