PSG terminates contract of head coach Pochettino’s


(MENAFN) The Ligue 1 team declared on Tuesday that Paris Saint-Germain ended the contract of the manager Mauricio Pochettino after spending 18 months as the head couch.

PSG stated in an announcement that "Paris Saint-Germain confirm that Mauricio Pochettino has ended his role at the club."

The club also stated that "The Argentine coach and his team joined the club in January 2021. A former captain of the Rouge & Bleus, Pochettino took charge of 84 competitive games."

Pochettino started his coaching career at Espanyol 13 years ago before becoming Southampton manager.

He was titled as the head couch of Tottenham Hotspur in 8 years ago, taking the English Premier League team to get to the 2019 UEFA Champions League final.

The Argentinian who is 50 years old helped the Parisians to achieve a French Ligue 1 title, a French Super Cup, as well as a French Cup.

The Ligue 1 side showed gratitude to Pochettino and his team for their work and desired them the best for the future.
