CTB To Issue Fuel For Private Buses, School Vans, Tourist Vehicles

The Sri Lanka Transport Board (CTB) is to issue fuel for private passenger buses, school vans and tourist buses and vans.

Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera said that the Transport Ministry has agreed to the request.

He said that the required fuel supply will be distributed to the CTB to issue to private buses.

As a result the Minister requested private passenger buses not to queue outside ordinary fuel stations.

The Minister said that since only diesel is issued at CTB depots only tourist buses and vans and not cars can obtain diesel.

He said that such vans and buses transporting foreign tourists and not locals, can obtain diesel from the CTB depots. (Colombo Gazette)
