The National Wheelchair Basketball Team Of Afghanistan Wins Against UAE
Afghanistan's national wheelchair basketball team won its match against the UAE team 65-50, in 2022 Asia Oceania Championships in its second encounter.
The match took place yesterday, Monday, May 23rd, according to the General Directorate of Physical Sport of Afghanistan's official Facebook page.
The 2022 Asia Oceania Championships, which serves as the Zone's qualification tournament for the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) World Championships in 2022, is held in Phuket, Thailand from May 20 to 28.
A total of 12 Afghan athletes are competing in the tournament, which also includes participants from 11 other countries.
In their third encounter, the Afghan national wheelchair basketball team will meet the Iraqi national team today.
The Afghan wheelchair basketball team lost its inaugural match to the Philippines, on Sunday.
