Minister Of Justice Issues Resolution On Conduct Of Family Counsellors
ABU DHABI, 20th May, 2022 (WAM) -- Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, Minister of Justice, issued Ministerial Resolution No. 205 for 2022 on the conduct of family counsellors working for rehabilitation and family counselling centres at federal courts.
The resolution, which addressed the code of conduct and standards of professionalism and personal efficiency of counsellors, aims to support family counselling by encouraging convergence of opinions, reconciling family disagreements and maintaining family stability.
The resolution also aims to ensure the professional values of the profession and the rules of professional conduct that family counsellors should adhere to, to provide appropriate services for families with integrity, transparency and accountability.
The resolution identifies the basic professional values that family counsellors should adhere to while performing their duties, which are integrity, transparency, professionalism, honesty, impartiality, tolerance, justice, equality, respect for human rights and maintaining confidentiality.
