Amman, May 16 (Petra) -- A total of 50 entrepreneurship startups have joined the 4th cohort of MyStartup, an incubator of INJAZ, to benefit from the services it provides for startups and community institutions that seek to expand their work.
The 4th cohort includes enterprises working in sectors of education technology, environment, information technology, manufacturing, foodstuffs and other sectors. The companies were chosen through outcomes of INJAZ's entrepreneurship programs implemented in universities and colleges and opening registration to attract entrepreneurs wanting to expand their startups.
The incubation period for startups lasts for one year, starting with an intense training camp to boost the capabilities of startups and prepare them for the incubator's programs that include mentorship training and other services that startups need in this stage, according to an INJAZ statement on Monday.
It added that mySTARTUP is working on providing a general evaluation of the basic needs of each startup to know their strengths and weaknesses and work on improving them.
MySTARTUP houses training rooms, meeting halls, workspaces for companies to design and develop products, and a private service office designated for entrepreneurs.
It provides the opportunity for entrepreneurs to meet and exchange expertise to create an integrated entrepreneurship environment, considers the needs of female entrepreneurs by providing a suitable work environment, and organizes events for startups to present offers to partner with investors in the private sector.
Through strategic partnerships with the Jordanian Innovative Startups and SMEs Fund (ISSF), the Canada-funded Women Economic Support Project, the Canadian Bureau for International Education, the Canadian Ryerson University, and cewas Middle East, mySTARTUP provides entrepreneurship programs from global incubators.
