King undergoes successful surgery to treat thoracic herniated disc

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday underwent a successful surgery to treat a thoracic herniated disc, according to a Royal Court statement.
At the professional advice of physicians, the surgery, which took place at a specialised hospital in Frankfurt, will be followed by a period of rest before King Abdullah returns to Jordan.
The Royal Hashemite Court, in the statement, wished His Majesty continued good health and wellbeing.
