New shipment of Qatari food aid arrives in Beirut
An Amiri Air Force plane carrying 70 tonnes of food arrived Saturday at Beirut's Rafic Hariri International Airport.
This represents a new shipment of food aid provided by Qatar to the Lebanese army. Qatar announced last July that it would support the Lebanese army with 70 tonnes of foodstuffs per month for a year, as part of its efforts and firm commitment to support the Lebanon and stand by the brotherly Lebanese people, in addition to its firm belief in the importance and necessity of activating joint Arab action.
