Musk confirms dogecoin as payment method for Tesla products


(MENAFN) Dogecoin’s cost climbed over 15 percent on Friday, Jan. 14 prior to trimming revenues after Tesla started taking cryptocurrency as payment methods for a number of items.

Tesla’s owner Elon Musk tweeted that the company’s products could be bought using dogecoin at an early time on Friday.

The coin reached USD0.20 per coin at about 01:19 ET prior to cutting a number of those revenues, as Coindesk data shows. It increased over 9 percent at USD0.18 at 07:06 ET.

The new offer contained some the purchasing of some products, which initially was launched as a joke.
