Qatar International Boat Show begins on November 16


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) With the participation of a number of new local companies, the 8th Qatar International Boat Show will be held from November 16-20 at Porto Arabia, The Pearl-Qatar.

It was announced yesterday by Khaled Issa Al Mannai, Chairman of Al Mannai Plus Events, sole organiser of the luxury yacht show in Qatar since 2013.

Al Mannai praised the successful preventive measures taken by the authorities in the country to combat COVID-19 pandemic. He emphasised that, however, participants and visitors would take appropriate safety measures at the event site in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Public Health.

He expressed his thanks to the sponsors and participating local business bodies for their confidence in the organisation of Al Mannai Plus for events, for the eighth annual show regularly.

He also expressed his gratitude to the strategic partners - United Development Company (UDC) and Qatar Airways; the silver sponsors — Ronautica Middle East, Investment House and Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZ) for their valuable support.

Al Mannai said that the show would provide a platform for yacht and boat manufacturers, service providers in the marine industry, local merchants, suppliers, potential buyers and exclusive opportunities between companies and institutions.

He invited local and regional manufacturers and dealers of luxury lifestyle products to take advantage of the annual Qatar International Boat Show to showcase their products and services.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Jassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatar International Boat Show, thanked all partners and sponsors for their great contributions to the success of the show.“The show has become an important platform with passion developing the marine industry in the State of Qatar,” he added.

The press conference was also attended by Executive Director of Commercial Affairs, United Development Company (UDC), Hussein Akbar Al Baker; General Manager, Ronautica Middle East, Adel Bumatar Al Mohannadi; Director of Business Development - Qatar Free Zones Authority, Hamad Al Mohannadi; Acting CEO, Investment House, Jihad Mahdoul; and CEO of Elite Motors, Ahmed Al Subaie. 

Executive Director of Commercial Affairs at UDC, Hussain Akbar Al Baker, said:“We are pleased to host the 8th edition of the Qatar International Boat Show for the fourth year in a row.” Al Baker pointed to the strategic location of The Pearl-Qatar, which hosts the show, and its leadership in boat and marina services, stressing that this session of the show would shed more light on the activities of boats and yachts in Qatar. 

General Manager of Ronautica Middle East, Adel Bumatar Al Mohannadi, expressed his happiness to participate in this important event, saying,“We are pleased to organise and host events that contribute to highlighting the unique characteristics of The Pearl-Qatar.”

Director of Business Development-Qatar Free Zones Authority, Hamad Al Mohannadi, said:“The show highlights the latest developments in the field of shipbuilding, and the Free Zones Authority participates for the third year consecutively to position the show as an ideal platform to get to know the pioneers of the boat industry and marine services in Qatar and the world.”
