TRNC leader stresses need for collaboration amid Turkey, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus
(MENAFN) According to the TRNC leader, collaboration amid Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) is a long-wanted rule.
Tatar announced in an occasion in southern Hatay area that it is needed to cooperate to defend TRNC’s possessions, state identity of Turkish Cypriots and national interests in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Tatar also said: "Our path is the path that is with you" while declaring that they are in opposition to a rule, which will cut their bonds with Turkey.
He added in his visit to Hatay Governorship "There are two different communities in Cyprus, this is how the whole world should know. There is no nation called Cypriot. In Cyprus, you are either Turkish or Greek."
Tatar as well went on to say "For centuries, the Turkish Cypriots have always continued their existence there as the rulers of Cyprus during the Ottoman period."
