Premier Division: Police Win, Ali Jana Draw With Maharaja

SRINAGAR: Two matches of the JKFA Premier Division League 2021 were played on Tuesday at Synthetic Turf TRC here.

The first match of the day was played between Kashmir Maharaja FC and Ali Jana FC. The match turned out to be a thrilling contest as the Maharajas took a 2-0 lead at the half time break. Adeel Tariq scored the first goal for Kashmir Maharaja in 20th minute, while Bilal Ahmad doubled their lead in the 30th.

Ali Jana, however, came out of the blocks flying and scored two goals in the second half to bring the tie to 2-2. Bismark scored the first for Ali Jana FC in 53rd minute, while Shayik Ahmad scored the second in 75th minute of the match. The game ended 2-2 at full time whistle.

The second match of the day was played between J & K Police XI and J & K Acountant General's (AG's) XI. The J & K Police dominated the match and won with a 2-0 scoreline. Faisal scored both goals for the Police team, with the first coming in the 47th minute and the second in the dying moments of the match.

Over in A-Division League, one second round match was played on Tuesday at the Gindun Ground, Rajbagh. The match between Yahya Warsi FC and Al-Ahlam FC ended in a 1-1 draw.
