Last Jew in Afghanistan reaches Istanbul

(MENAFN) On Sunday, Zebulun Simantov, identified as the latest Jew in Afghanistan, reached Istanbul when he delivered a visa from Turkey.

Simantov, whose age is 62 and was born in Afghanistan's Herat area on the Iranian border afore living in Kabul, had been emigrated from Afghanistan long ago.

Simantov reached Istanbul Airport through a planned flight from Pakistan's capital, Islamabad, owing to Turkey for delivering a visa and the initiatives and help of Turkey’s Foreign Ministry.

Mendy Chitrik, the Ashkenazi religious leader of Istanbul, and some of his relatives greeted Simantov, and then was left in a private car.

Simantov allegedly has a visa for 90 days and is going to stay in Istanbul for some time.
