Ukraine’s government to guarantee steady costs in energy business


(MENAFN) Minister of Energy German Galushchenko stated that the Cabinet of Ministers intends to guarantee steady valuing in the Ukrainian electrical energy marketplace to survive the 2021/2022 warming season easily.

On Friday, Oct. 8 Minister of Energy reported in 60 minutes of inquiries to Government conducted in Parliament, "To pass through the heating season smoothly, we will ensure stable pricing in the electricity market, which should guarantee economically balanced operation of energy generating enterprises."

He also informed the huge part of a fresh forum of Public Service Obligations (PSO) in guaranteeing the steadying of the electricity business.

The minister included, "To date, we have introduced a financial model of PSO, which provides great opportunities, especially for [power] generation by the state, and which has changed the approach to the market itself.”
