São Paulo – Brazilian wine brand 067 Vinhos is expanding, and its target market is the Middle East. In constant contact with government authorities and institutions of the United Arab Emirates, the company is now part of the recently created Pantanal General Trading , which aims to facilitate the sale of several Brazilian products in the Arab region.

Brazilian couple Alan Oliveira and Gabriela Pache (pictured above) are the founders of the brands. The first company, focused on wine, was established in 2018 and entered the market in early 2021.“First, we built our business in Campo Grande (MS), the headquarters of 067 Vinhos . Once it was structured, we set out to approach new markets and expand, always respecting the natural flow of abundance and prosperity life offers,” explained Oliveira in an email interview with ANBA.

The Brazilians established Pantanal Trading to export

To take a step towards the foreign market, the entrepreneurs then created a new trading company. Under the aegis of Pantanal, they managed to make international business possible, especially in Arab markets, having the UAE as a hub.“Presently, the infrastructure for the storage and sale of wines and beverages from 067 Vinhos in these markets is being completed in a logistics center in Dubai,” stated Oliveira.

With the structure ready, the entrepreneur wants to expand the business to market more Brazilian goods and partner with other brands.“All Brazilian companies and producers interested in shipping their products to the UAE will now have our commercial, logistics, and customs clearance resources for the entry and free circulation of goods within these markets,” he said.

Since he worked in the Middle East ten years ago, the businessman has kept the region on his radar.“I personally have been developing commercial contacts in the region for almost a decade through other ventures. It is a prosperous region, where the laws of respect and trust in business are in force; it also has people who are always committed to innovation and seeking the best for themselves and their businesses. Therefore, ever since I was in the UAE for the first time, I knew I would do a lot of business there,” he said.

The company's export plan started to be put into practice in 2021 when Oliveira visited the Dubai office of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC), of which the brand is a member.“Our flow of achievements is very fast-paced; after our last meeting, negotiations with the public authorities of the UAE, responsible for making the operation feasible, have developed very quickly. Today, we already have all the necessary licenses to import directly from Brazil to the UAE, and also to take the opposite path, that is, export Arab products to Brazil,” revealed the businessman.

067 Vinhos has over 200 brands

The trading strategies to serve the Dubai public should provide consumers with direct access and the possibility of purchasing from partners.“We are preparing a major launch, and we are confident about its success,” he said, stressing the online sales operation the brand is already developing in Brazil will also be one of the pillars of the work abroad.

Pantanal Trading was a sponsor of the Brazil – UAE Amazon Economic Sustainability Forum . The event took place on October 3 in a hybrid format, with an audience in Dubai and viewers from all over the world following the debates through a live broadcast over the internet.

Wines

067 Vinhos continues with its portfolio of over 200 brands, including wine, cachaça (the Brazilian sugar cane spirit), gin, and accessories.“We, in addition to connoisseurs of good wines, are passionate about the search for anthropological knowledge, for the origins of man, and wine is linked to this story,” explained the entrepreneur.

For the Brazilian, the focus of their work is to appreciate and promote the visibility of Brazilian wines facing brands from the rest of the world.“We invest in knowledge and experience. We work with our authorial line, which aims to raise awareness about Brazilian culture, specifically from our state, Mato Grosso do Sul. There are currently five products: Eita Pega Pinot Noir, Aura Rosa Sparkling Pinot Noir, Pantaneira Grande Reserva, Bonito Merlot, and Salto da Piraputanga Chardonnay,” concluded Oliveira.
