(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Oct. 7 (Petra) -- The Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) and French travel and tour agency "Top of Travel" have signed an agreement under which a total of 24 charter flights will arrive in the Kingdom carrying French tourists.
According to a statement released Thursday, the JTB said it had signed the agreement with the French agency on the sidelines of the IFTM Top Resa international tourism trade show currently underway at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles in France.
Minister of Tourism and Antiquities and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the JTB, Nayef al-Fayez, said that this agreement will reflect positively on the numbers of French tourists to Jordan. He explained that charter flights will be operated from more than twenty French provinces to Amman and Aqaba, with a total of 24 flights within two years.
In turn, JTB Director-General, Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat, said the board is committed to supporting charter flights as part of incentive programs and facilities aimed at attracting more tourists from France to Jordan.
The head of the French agency said the charter flight program will commence in November 2022 with a total of 24 flights, each carrying around 186 passengers, noting that other French tourist groups will be flown by Royal Jordanian (RJ).
