Afghanistan is more stable since Taliban's takeover: Qureshi

Pakistan's foreign minister Shah Mahmoud Qureshi said that there is no sign of civil war in Afghanistan since the Taliban takeover and the country is more stable after a change in regime.
Mahmoud Qureshi in a recent interview with New York Times said that despite the change in Regime in Afghanistan, Pakistan did not witness an influx of refugees into their borders with Afghanistan.
The foreign minister warns of an economic and humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.
Earlier, Qureshi had said that the US and international community should unfreeze the assets of Afghanistan and should be lenient with the Taliban.
In the meantime, the Pakistani foreign minister criticized the existence of the permanent representative of Afghanistan, Ghulam Muhammad Ishaqzai, in the UN.
He said that the previous government of Afghanistan has escaped and its representative has no position in UNGA.
Earlier, the Taliban had requested the UN to accept Sohail Shaheen as a permanent representative of Afghanistan which was ruled out.
