Libya's Council head gathers with Italian ambassador in Tripoli
(MENAFN) Libya’s High Council is eager on holding the Libyan elections on time as planned.
The council head, Khaled al-Mishri, gathered with Italian Ambassador Giuseppe Buccino and special envoy Nicola Orlando in Tripoli.
The council is dedicated on reaching an agreement with the House of Representatives (parliament) on election laws.
He further declared that "The council finalized a draft for the constitutional basis and proposed laws for the parliamentary and presidential elections, and to consult about them with the House of Representatives."
Also; Libya's elections commission stated that 10,729 Libyans living abroad are participating for the upcoming elections.
