Algeria’s previous president passes away


(MENAFN) Algeria stated three days of mourns after previous President Abdelaziz Bouteflika passed away.

According to The Algerian Presidency, the flags are going to be flown at half-mast in the mourning days.

On late Friday, the president passed away at the age of 84.

In 1999, after he took power on Algeria’s civil war, Bouteflika controlled the country regardless of struggling with paralysis in 2015 along with his weak health.

Moreover, in February 2019, Bouteflika went for leader for a fifth tenure that caused mass protests in Algeria.
