Peru: Exports reach all-time high
(MENAFN) Good worldwide raw material prices and a sustained rebound of nationwide output have enhanced Peru’s exports to the tune of USD29.17 billion in the January-July period of 2021.
Carlos Aquino, a professor at the National University of San Marcos stated that this was a "historic" number that has added to the country’s economy impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
Aquino noted that increasing cooper and fishery exports bolstered the notable figure.
A number of non-traditional export industries also witnessed a rise. "And yet when they hit an all-time high last year, now they hit another all-time high," he stated.
