SIDCO, SICOP Merger Into JKIDC On Cards

(MENAFN- Kashmir Observer) Srinagar: Government on Wednesday ordered constitution of a Committee for proposing roadmap for establishment of Jammu and Kashmir Industrial Development Corporation (JKIDC) as per provisions of J & K Development Act, 1970, along with merging/subsuming SIDCO and SICOP into it, as recommended by the in-house Committee of the Industries and Commerce Department.

The members of the committee include Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Finance Department and principal secretaries of Housing and Urban Development Department, Industries and Commerce Department besides Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.
