Saudi mining sector sees significant transformation, high demand from investors
(MENAFN) According to Khaled Al-Mudaifer, vice minister for mining affairs, Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, the Saudi mining sees an important transformation and a high demand from investors since the inauguration of the new Mining Investment Law early of 2021.
Al Arabiya quoted Mudaifer as saying that there is going to be international demand for the sector in the future. The Kingdom is the fourth largest country in the world for importing minerals.
He further declared that the International Future Metals Conference in its first session coming January is going to establish a platform for mining investments in the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa.
He added, opportunities for mineral wealth in the Kingdom are predicted to amount at USD1.3 trillion.
