Iran to support stability in Afghanistan


(MENAFN) Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi promised Iran's sustain to stability in Afghanistan, and called on a "national agreement" amid all Afghan groups.

The Iranian Presidency's official website quoted Raisi as saying that "The military defeat and the withdrawal of the United States from Afghanistan must become an opportunity to restore life, security and lasting peace in the country."

He added during a conversation with Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif that Afghans have the right to live in security, stability, and prosperity.

Raisi further declared that stability Stability is Afghanistan's "first need" today, and Iran is going to strive to establish stability in the neighboring country.
