Endeavor Jordan And the Landmark Hotel Announce the Landmark 2.0 To Disrupt the Tourism and Hospitality Sector
(MENAFN- Endeavor Jordan) AMMAN - 3 July. The Landmark Hotel Amman announced the launch of its Landmark 2.0 Program in partnership with Endeavor Jordan. Landmark 2.0 is an innovation hub that aims to forge value-driven long-lasting partnerships with Jordanian startups and aspiring entrepreneurs who can leverage and disrupt the hotel’s ‘Local, Authentic, Sustainable and Inclusive’ experience. This in turn will have lasting positive effects on the tourism sector at large and on job creation and innovation in this field. The Landmark 2.0 program is accepting applications from startups and established companies in addition to aspiring entrepreneurs through the Endeavor website until July 22nd, 2021.
Landmark 2.0 Innovation Hub is the result of the Landmark Amman’s commitment to the revival of the Jordanian economy, especially in light of the current situation for the global tourism and hospitality industries which had been hard-hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. Powered by Endeavor, Landmark 2.0 will support the selected participants over a period of 6 months by giving them full access to the hotel’s premises and to utilize the required assets to grow and scale up their product or service offering, while testing their products within the Landmark Hotel. The package of support will include coaching, mentoring, networking opportunities and access to capital, when necessary.
'The Landmark 2.0 initiative is an embodiment of our commitment to Jordan and to this sector and our belief that we can not only rise up but thrive in the face of any challenge. We’re delighted to be working with Endeavor Jordan on this program, as they have been at the forefront of concerted efforts to enhance the entrepreneurial ecosystem in our country. Together we carefully listened to business owners and innovators and set about designing a program that delivers true value and real impact. We will leverage our offering and efforts to help ensure that every individual and company that we host are given the best chance to achieve growth and success.' Mary Nazzal, Founder of Landmark Amman; Chair-person of 17 Ventures.
The Program seeks to engage creative and innovative individuals who are ethically driven, socially responsible and have the time and motivation to leave a positive impact on the hospitality sector. As for companies, they should be managed by persons committed to innovation and able to value the support and synergies that the Landmark Amman and Endeavor can provide. Tech and tech-enabled businesses are encouraged but not essential. Both individuals and companies should be based in Jordan or able to be located in Amman for the duration of the program.
“We are thrilled to be part of this timely and pioneering initiative by the Landmark Amman. Such collaboration enables the large corporations to inject innovative solutions and upgrade their value proposition, while at the same time providing startups with the chance to grow their businesses locally. It is our genuine hope that more Jordanian corporations follow suit,” stated Endeavor’s Managing Director, Reem Goussouss.
By supporting startups and entrepreneurs, Landmark 2.0 hopes to inject creativity and innovation into the hospitality and tourism industries and aims to enhance the Landmark Amman’s objective of providing guests with a ‘Local, Authentic, Sustainable and Inclusive’ hotel experience.
'We have always believed in the value of an authentic, sustainable approach to the hospitality business, and this is needed now more than ever. We want this to be as inclusive and effective as possible and I encourage any person or company that is eligible to apply to do so and to invite others to as well. We’re looking for those with the ability and drive to make it and, in true partnership, will provide them with everything they need to succeed." Aysar Batayneh, CEO of Jordan Holiday Hotels; Chairman of The Jordan Trail.
