Burkina Faso: Current clear-out drives leave 25 terrorists dead


(MENAFN) Over 25 terrorists were killed by Burkina Faso's army but the army lost a number of three soldiers and six volunteers in clear-out drives from June 7 to 13.

The army reported that the drives followed the assault that killed 132 persons during the evening from June 4 to 5 on a small-scale mining location in the village of Solhan, north-eastern Sahel region in the restless nation.

A number of clear-out drives were carried out in a lot of localities of the area leading to the death of around ten assailants and the confiscation of rolling stock.

Burkina Faso's Army added that the current drives have found one improvised explosive device which has been rendered risk-free.
