US underscores strategic partnership with Jordan

WASHINGTON, April 8 (KUNA) -- US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke Thursday with King Abdullah II, during which he reaffirmed his country's commitment to its "strategic partnership" with Jordan.
State Department Spokesperson Ned Price said in a statement that Blinken "commended King Abdullah II for Jordan's steadfast leadership promoting peace and stability in the Middle East.
"The United States deeply values the strong bilateral cooperation and longtime friendship between our two countries," the statement added.
Meanwhile, Blinken tweeted that Jordan is "a close friend, invaluable ally, and indispensable partner to the United States". (end)
