ICAI Doha Chapter conducts webinar on Fintech

The Doha Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) organized a session on 'Fintech & Transformation in Finance & AuditOpportunities and Challenges with a view to update the finance professional from various industry on the latest transformation happening and more so because of Pandemic. The event organized on virtual platform, saw more than 100 participants comprising chapter members and many members across the globe. The chief guest of the event was CA Prafulla Chhajed, Past President ICAI who was very appreciative of the Excom of Doha Chapter. He briefly gave an insight into how ICAI and India is preparing themselves to host the Olympics of Accountants which is called the World Congress of Accountant which is poised to be held in Mumbai in 2022. He was introduced by the Chapter Chairman CA Nirlep Bhatt. Another speaker of the day was CA Dayaniwas Sharma, Central Council member (ICAI) who touched upon the ideas and basic of Fintech and how this is going to be seen as opportunity rather than a challenge. CA Vignesh, Doha Chapter Secretary introduced him. CA Kishore introduced the main speaker of the session, CA Anand Prakash Jangid. CA Anand, having worked with Goldman Sacks comes with a lot of in-depth experience on the topic. He has taken several session on the transformation and also is a faculty. CA Anand engaged the audience sharing many practical issues and opportunity that is linked with the session topic and how business adapting to the transformation do better than its competition. He also gave an example of Amazon go concept store which is a true adaption of newest technology.
