Covid-19 claims five lives, infects 810

BAGHDAD, Jan 12 (KUNA) -- The Iraqi Ministry of Health on Tuesday announced registering five Coronavirus (Covid-19) deaths and 810 new infections, raising total contamination cases to 604,549 in Iraq, and all of Kurdistan's regions.
Baghdad witnessed the highest number of infections today, reaching 369 cases, followed by Kirkuk with 79 cases, Al-Sulaimaniyah, 53, and followed by the remaining governorates with various numbers.
Five deaths were registered in four governorates, while 1,806 patients in all of the 18 governorates recovered from the virus.
The total Covid-19 infections in Iraq reached 604,549, while the pandemic death toll hit 12,911, and total recovered cases hit 560,583. (end)
