IS sites in Syrian desert attacked with 130 missiles
(MENAFN) A war monitor reported on Saturday that the bases of the Islamic State (IS) in the Syrian Desert were targeted with at least 130 missiles over the previous 48 hours.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the exaggerated attacks were launched by Russian warplanes against the sites of the IS radicals in the Syrian Desert in eastern Syria as the latter attacked and captured several Syrian military sites.
Meanwhile, the UK-based observatory agency said the IS militants later withdrew from the positions they had advanced to, dreading the raids.
In the course of the battles during the previous 48-hour period, 19 government soldiers were killed in addition to 12 IS insurgents, as per the agency.
After losing key areas across Syria, the IS group situated in a number of parts of the Syrian Desert and has targeted Syrian government forces with innumerable attacks.
