RIYADH, Dec 30 (KUNA) -- Saudi Arabia deplored in the strongest terms the "cowardly terrorist attack" that targeted Aden International Airport on Wednesday, killing and wounding dozens of people.
This action, which "evil powers" stand behind, is not only directed against the legitimate Yemeni government but also against all the Yemen people, Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Yemenis need security, peace, stability and prosperity but "powers of darkness" are standing against their aspirations, it added.
The Kingdom reiterated solidarity with Yemen and Yemeni people, the statement noted.
Saudi Arabia voiced its confidence that today's incident will enhance the Yemenis' resolve to achieve their aspirations and restore their legitimacy, it pointed out.
The statement voiced sincere condolences to the relatives of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery to the wounded.
Earlier, Aden airport came under heavy attack which left several casualties. The incident occurred when the plane carrying members of the Yemeni government landed. (end)
