Kuwait reports 330 new COVID-19 cases, one death


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Nov 26 (KUNA) -- Kuwait listed 330 new coronavirus infections on Thursday to raise the total to 141,547, while one fatality recorded over the past 24 hours upped its death toll from the outbreak to 872, the health ministry said.
The number of people hospitalized with the virus currently stands at 5,925, with 80 of them in intensive care units, said ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, adding that some 7,458 swab tests were conducted over the last day out of a total of 1,075,651 so far.
The ministry had earlier reported that some 717 more people had recovered from the virus over the past day, raising the total of those to have overcome the disease to 134,750.
The spokesman went on to urge citizens and expatriates alike that abiding by health precautions, mainly, following social distancing rules, is the only way to halt the spread of the virus. (pickup previous)
