(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) VIENNA, Oct 24 (KUNA) -- Austria said Saturday 3,614 people were confirmed positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours for the total to reach 78,937.
Some 965 people have succumbed to the virus thus far, health authorities said in a statement, adding that 56,970 people have recovered.
Austria has recently tightened precautionary measures and made the wearing of facemasks mandatory at indoor and outdoor venues. (end)
